Privacy
The short answer: this site collects nothing about you.
Cookies
Not one. Which is why there is no "accept cookies" pop-up here of the kind every other site shows you.
Your progress
What you have read and how many questions you got right stays in your own browser. It never reaches us. Clear your browser data and it is gone, and it will not appear on another phone or computer.
No account
There is no login here. No name, email, phone number or date of birth is ever asked for.
Counting readers
To know whether the site is being read at all, we keep a count on our own server. What gets recorded each time is: the address of the page, and a scrambled code made by combining your IP address, your browser and that day's date. The IP address is never stored, and because the date is inside the code, two different days cannot be linked back to the same person.
No cookie, no outside company, no advertising. The count stays on our own server and is given to nobody.
If you would rather not be counted at all, open indicsaga.com/?noc=1 once — after that the count ignores that browser.
Outside services
Only one: the fonts here come from Google Fonts. That means Google sees your IP address as the page loads. Apart from that there are no trackers and no advertising on this site.
The WhatsApp button
That button only opens WhatsApp and prepares a message. You send it yourself, from your own phone. We never learn who you sent it to, or whether you sent it at all.
If you write to katha@indicsaga.com, that email reaches us — so we can reply. It is used for nothing else and given to nobody.
Rights
The stories are based on source texts that are in the public domain. The writing, the questions and the artwork on this site belong to IndicSaga.
If this changes
If advertising is ever added, this page changes first — not afterwards.
